The selects process. What happens to the images after the shoot.

Photographer delivers 500-2000 images. Client selects 20-50. Retoucher processes those. Ten images make final delivery. One might actually get used. This is normal.

Understanding the image pipeline helps models contextualise the work they do on set. Most of what you shoot is never seen publicly.

This is not failure, it is the natural filtering process of editorial and commercial photography. You are contributing to a creative process, not just producing the final image. The best images come from sets where this is understood.
