The call to go somewhere you've never been, I don't think I'll ever stop feeling it.
Months into 2026 and my passport has more stamps than plans.
If you've been waiting for the right time, the right budget, the right person to go with, this is your Thursday reminder that waiting rarely improves the conditions.
It just makes the list of missed trips longer.
Where are you going next? 👇

Travel doesn't change you. It reveals you.
The patience you have when things go wrong. The curiosity you bring when everything is unfamiliar. The gratitude you feel for things you took for granted at home.
Those things were always in you. Travel just puts you in situations where you can't hide them.
Who did you discover you were on a trip? 💭

Jet lag recovery: What actually works after years of long-hauls.
Get on local time immediately. No napping the first day, no matter how tired you are.
Sunlight in the morning -this resets your circadian rhythm faster than anything else.
Hydrate aggressively on the plane. The cabin air is drier than a desert.
Melatonin the first 2–3 nights, timed to your destination's schedule.
The biggest mistake: staying in the hotel to rest. Go outside. Move. Eat local food.
What's your jet lag remedy? I'm always collecting new ones. 👇

Tourist vs traveler. I used to care about this distinction. I don't anymore.
Standing in front of the Eiffel Tower with a camera? Still a traveler. Because you're there, you're present, you made it happen.
There's no hierarchy of travel. The person on their first international trip taking every photograph is living fully. The seasoned backpacker who looks down on resorts is missing the point.
Go where you want. Do what moves you. The gatekeeping of 'real travel' is exhausting.
What's your unpopular travel opinion? 👇

The people you meet while traveling are unlike the people you meet anywhere else.
Everyone's a little more open. A little more themselves. Because when you're away from your normal life, you get to choose who you are today.
I've had dinner with strangers who became friends. Five-minute conversations that stayed with me for years.
Travel expands your world not just geographically, but humanly.
What's a connection you made while traveling that you still think about?

Travel photography tip that will immediately improve your shots: stop photographing the thing and start photographing the feeling.
Not the cathedral, the light falling through the window at 8am.
Not the market, the hands of the woman arranging the flowers.
Not the street, the shadow it casts at golden hour.
The image that makes someone feel something is always more interesting than the one that just shows something.
What's a photo you've taken that moved you beyond the location? 👇

There's a moment when you realise you're exactly where you're supposed to be.
Not in a mystical way. In a quiet, certain, cellular way.
For me it was on a train somewhere in Portugal, watching the light change over hills that didn't have a name I knew. And I thought: yes. This is it. This is why.
Every trip you take is adding up to something. Even the ones that go wrong. Especially those.
What's a moment where you've felt that certainty? 👇

Travel anxiety is real. And nobody talks about it enough.
The panic before a big trip. The 'what if something goes wrong' spiral that starts the week before departure. Checking your passport four times.
It doesn't go away with more trips. You just get better at going anyway.
If travel makes you anxious, that's not a sign you shouldn't go. It's a sign that what you're about to do actually matters to you.
Go. The anxiety doesn't disappear. But you get better at travelling with it. 🤍

Accommodation tip that saved me hundreds: stop booking hotels first.
Check for private rooms in well-rated hostels, often same quality as a budget hotel at half the price.
Look at apartment rentals for stays over 4 nights, cheaper and you get a kitchen. Always check if booking directly with the property beats the platform price. Often it does, with perks added.
The most important thing: read the middling reviews, not just the five stars. The 3s tell the real story.
Where do you usually stay when you travel?

There's a moment on every trip, usually 48 hours in when the tension in your shoulders finally drops.
The notifications stop feeling urgent. The to-do list stops following you.
You arrive properly arrive in the place you're in.
That moment is why I travel. Not the destination. The becoming-present.
When did you last feel properly present somewhere? 🤍
